Achieve Happiness

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of the Achieve Happiness website, services, sessions, training, and digital resources. By accessing this website or engaging in any services provided by Achieve Happiness, you agree to these Terms.

Achieve Happiness provides trauma-informed therapeutic and wellbeing services in a manner that prioritises safety, respect, choice, and clarity.

2. Scope of Practice & Disclaimer

Achieve Happiness offers therapeutic, trauma-informed, wellbeing, and educational services intended to support emotional awareness, nervous system regulation, insight, and personal growth.

Our services:

  • Are supportive and therapeutic in nature

  • Do not constitute medical, psychiatric, or emergency services

  • Do not replace diagnosis, treatment, or care provided by medical or mental health professionals

You remain responsible for your own wellbeing and for deciding whether these services are appropriate for you.

If you are experiencing acute distress, thoughts of self-harm, or are at risk of harming yourself or others, you must seek immediate support from emergency services or a qualified healthcare professional.

3. Safeguarding

Achieve Happiness is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults, children, and young people in line with UK safeguarding legislation and best practice.

Children and Young People

  • All sessions involving children or young people take place with a parent or legal guardian present

  • We do not offer unsupervised or one-to-one sessions with children

  • Children’s safeguarding is carried out in accordance with relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and 2004

If we believe a child or young person may be at risk of harm, we have a duty to act in their best interests. This may include sharing information with appropriate safeguarding authorities.

Adults at Risk
We recognise that adults may experience vulnerability due to trauma, mental health challenges, illness, disability, or personal circumstances. Where there is a serious concern for safety, appropriate safeguarding action may be taken.

4. Confidentiality & Its Limits

Achieve Happiness respects privacy and confidentiality. Information shared during sessions or engagement will be treated sensitively and with care.

Confidentiality may be broken where:

  • There is a serious risk of harm to you or others

  • Safeguarding concerns arise involving a child or vulnerable adult

  • Disclosure is required by law

Any information shared will be limited to what is necessary and handled responsibly.

5. Informed Consent & Working Together

Engagement with Achieve Happiness is voluntary.

By using our services, you acknowledge that:

  • You are free to pause, stop, or withdraw at any time

  • You are encouraged to communicate boundaries, needs, and concerns

  • No process will be forced, rushed, or imposed

Trauma-informed work prioritises consent, choice, pacing, and safety. You remain responsible for your own decisions and actions throughout your engagement.

6. Trauma-Informed Approach

Achieve Happiness works from a trauma-informed perspective that recognises:

  • Trauma responses as adaptive survival responses

  • The importance of nervous system regulation and emotional safety

  • Healing as a non-linear and individual process

We do not require clients to focus on traumatic experiences, disclose details they are not ready to share, or push beyond what feels manageable.

7. Crisis Support & Limitations

Achieve Happiness does not provide crisis intervention or emergency services.

If you are in immediate distress or danger, you should contact:

  • Emergency services (999 in the UK)

  • Your GP, mental health services, or a recognised crisis support organisation

Our website content and services are supportive and educational and are not a substitute for urgent or emergency care.

If you have a concern or complaint about our services, we encourage you to raise this directly with Achieve Happiness using the contact details provided on our website.

We aim to:

  • Respond respectfully and promptly

  • Address concerns fairly and transparently
